Prof. Dr. Bhawna Sharma, FIE is working as Professor in Govt. College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. She graduated in Computer Science & Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College, Pondicherry and did M.S. Software Systems from BITS, Pilani. She has done Ph.D in Computer Science & IT from University of Jammu. She is Fellow of The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, New Delhi; Life Member of Computer Society of India, Mumbai and Life Member of Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata. She has authored many research papers which have been published in reputed National & International Journals & Conferences. Her areas of interest include Cloud Computing, Computer Networks/ Software Defined Networks, Formal Computational Theory & Database Management. She is currently holding administrative assignments as Chairperson Startup Cell, President of Institutional Innovation Council (IIC), Convener of ARIIA, Coordinator T&P Cell and NBA of GCET, Jammu besides being Member of various committees of the Institute and the panel of examiners of various Universities. She has organized a number of short-term courses, FDPs, Conferences, Webinars, Seminars, Orientation and Awareness Sessions etc. in the capacity of the Convener & Co-Convener. She was awarded Rudra Bhagwati Silver Medal by this Centre twice on 37 th & 41 st Engineers’ Days for presenting 2 nd Best technical papers during the years 2004 & 2008 respectively. She has also remained on Editorial Board of this Centre for the term 2015-2017. It is her 7th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Sachin Tickoo,MIE
Honorary Secretary

Er. Sachin Tickoo, MIE is an alumnus of GCET, Jammu and Masters in Business Administration from University of Pune with dual specialization in Finance and Marketing. He joined Power Development Department, J&K Govt. in the year 2009 & presently, he is working as Assistant Engineer. He has always remained very active in the employee welfare activities and was elected as General Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) for the term 2020-22 & presently has been elected as its President for the term 2022- 24. Besides that, he is also Convenor of Jammu & Kashmir Power Employees & Engineers Coordination Committee (JKPEECC). It is his 3rd stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Dr. Sanjay Khar,FIE

Dr. Sanjay Khar, FIE (Immediate Past Chairman) is working as Professor in Sher-E-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu. He is the recipient of many awards at State & National Level for his Outstanding contribution to the field of Agricultural Engineering and has authored many Research Papers, Technical Bulletins & Success Stories which have been published in National & International Journals. He is also Member of faculty of Agriculture, Board of Studies, Board of PG Studies, Research Council, Member Secretary of Scientific Advisory Committee & Member of University Extension Council of SKUAST-J.He is a Life Member of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineering, Indian Society of Krishi Vigyan, Journal of Hill Agriculture, Indian Ecological Society, Indian Society of Progressive Horticulture & International Journal of Agricultural Engineering. It is his 5th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. C P Sharma, MIE (Immediate Past Hony. Secretary) is former Executive Engineer from Public Health Engineering Department, Jammu & Kashmir Govt. He happens to be a distinguished alumnus of The Institution of Engineers (India). He has also remained on Editorial Board of this Centre for the term 2013-15. He has done a commendable job in generation of funds from the Engineering Fraternity of this region for construction of IEI Complex at Channi Himmat, Jammu. It is his 4th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Jatinder Kumar Sharma,FIE

Er. Jatinder Kumar Sharma, FIE has been elected from Civil Engineering Division. He is a Retd. Chief Engineer from Hydraulics Wing of J&K Govt. It is his maiden stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. P. K. Nanda,MIE

Er. P. K. Nanda, MIE has been elected from Civil Engineering Division. He is Former Executive Engineer, Hydraulics, J&K Govt., and is presently working as Consultant with a Construction Company. He has remained as Honorary Secretary of this Centre for the term 1999 - 2001. He has also remained on Editorial Board of this Centre for the terms 2002-2005, 2005-2007 & 2009-2011 besides the present stint in this Board. He has also remained in the Editorial Board of Jammu Club for publication of its quarterly Newsletter. He is also Life Member of Indian Water Works Association, Indian Institute of Public Administration and Indian Association of Hydrologists. He has been awarded with many awards at the national and international level. It is worthwhile to mention here that Er. Nanda has been associated with this Centre for more than 3 decades & played a very active and sincere role in construction of IEI Complex at Channi Himmat, Jammu for which he was Member of the Building Sub-Committee also. Pertinently, he also played a pivotal role in generation of funds from the Engineering Fraternity of this region for construction of this IEI Complex and has always remained forthright in the upliftment and welfare of this Centre which he himself has helmed for more than 25 years now. It is his 13th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Rabinder Shekher,MIE

Er. Rabinder Shekher, MIE and Chartered Engineer, is working as Executive Engineer in P.W.D, J&K Govt.. He has been associated with construction of Narayana Super-Specialty Hospital from foundation level to its inauguration by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in 2016. He remained Honorary Secretary of this Centre for the term 2011-2013. He also remained in Editorial Board for the terms 2007-2009, 2011-2013 & 2013-2015. He is recipient of R L Sharma Gold Medal 2006 & Rudra Bhagwati Silver Medal 05 times. He has also received Rashtriya Gaurav Award by I.I.F.S New Delhi at Chandigarh in the year 2004. He is Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) by Engineering Council of India (ECI) and life member of IRC, IBC, IIBE, MACCE (I) and Fellow of IAStructE (India). He is visiting faculty to deliver guest lecturers in SMVD University and Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology. Recently, he has been declared elected unopposed to the Executive Committee of Indian Buildings Congress, New Delhi for the year 2022-23. It is his 7th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Anil Verma,MIE

Er. Anil Verma, MIE has been elected from Electrical Engineering Division. He is working as Assistant Executive Engineer in Power Development Department, J&K Govt. Jammu. He has remained as Honorary Secretary of this Centre for the term 2007-09. He has also remained on Editorial Board of this Centre for the terms 2007-2009, 2009-2011, 2013-2015, 2015- 2017 & 2017-2019 besides the present stint in this Board. He was awarded R. L. Sharma Gold Medal by this Centre on 37 th Engineers’ Day for presenting the Best Technical Paper during the year 2004 & IEI Bronze Medal on 53 rd Engineers’ Day for presenting 3 rd Best Technical Paper during the year 2020. It is for the information of our Members that functioning of IEI, Jammu Centre was shifted from Gandhi Nagar Complex to Channi Himmat Complex after taking it over from JKPCC Ltd. during his Secretaryship of this Centre. He remains quite active at socio-societal level also and has remained as Member of the Managing Committee of Jammu Club, Jammu (Term 2016- 2018) which is considered as the elite club of Service Class Officers of J&K. Notably, he has also remained in the Editorial Board of this Club for publication of its quarterly Newsletter. It is his 10th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Samir Sharma,MIE

Er. Samir Sharma,MIE has been elected from Electrical Engineering Division. He is working as Assistant Executive Engineer in Power Development Department, J&K Govt. Jammu. He has remained as Honorary Secretary of this Centre for the term 2005-2007. He has also remained on Editorial Board of this Centre for the terms 2005-2007, 2013-2015 & 2019-2022. Presently, he is Vice Chairman of The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Jammu Sub-Centre & has also remained as its Honorary Secretary for the term 2001-2002. He is also Fellow of The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, Member of Indian Science Congress Association & Life Member of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA). It is for the information of our Members that IEI Complex at Channi Himmat, Jammu was inaugurated during his Secretaryship of this Centre. It is his 11th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Ajay Kumar Sharma,FIE

Er. Ajay Kumar Sharma, FIE has been elected form Mechanical Engineering Division. He is working as Executive Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Department J&K Govt. He is a graduate from Jammu University in 1984 & BE in Mechanical from Punjab University in 1988. He has also remained on Editorial Board of this Centre for the term 2019-2022. It is his maiden stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Mohinder Singh,MIE

Er. Mohinder Singh,MIE has been elected from Mechanical Engineering Division. He is working as AEE (Mech.) in Jal Shakti Department, J&K Govt. Jammu. He has remained as Honorary Secretary of this Centre for the term 2013-2015. He is very active and remains associated with the various activities of Jal Jeevan Mission of Jal Shakti Department, J&K Govt. for creating awareness about importance of conservation of water and water resources. He is also very active in the field of fitness, wellness and nutrition arena, Kolkata. He is also Life Member of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) and The Institution of Public Health Engineering. It is his 7th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Sudhir Sethi,MIE

Er. Sudhir Sethi, MIE has been elected from Aerospace Engineering Division. He is former AEE (Mechanical) from J&K Power Development Corporation Jammu. Incidentally, he happens to be the batchmate of Kalpana Chawla; the famous Indian-American Astronaut, and takes pride in being so.He was instrumental in establishment of J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, Jammu and presently is its President. He was honoured with R L Choudhary Award by Dr. P. K. Dave, Director, AIIMS, New Delhi in a National Conference held in the year 2002 in which role of Thalassemia Welfare Society, Jammu was highly appreciated. It is the highest Award at national level. He has received many such awards since then for the cause of Thalassemia & organizing many blood donation camps. He is life member of Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology of (ISBIT) India. He has also remained as Member of the Committee of the Institution of Engineers (India), J&K State Centre, Srinagar for the term 2010-2012 in the Aerospace Engineering Division. It is his 7th stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Jatinder singh Kapoor,MIE

Er. Jatinder Singh Kapoor, MIE has been elected from Mining Engineering Division. He did his B. Tech from NIT, Rourkela & MBA (Finance) from IGNOU. Presently, he is working as District Mineral Officer, Jammu in Geology & Mining Department, J&K Govt. It is his 3rd stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Avneet Gupta, MIE has been elected from Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Division. He is working as Executive Engineer in Power Development Department, J&K Govt. Jammu. It is his 3rd stint in the Committee of this Centre.

Er. Nitin Mahajan, AMIE

Er Nitin Mahajan, AMIE has been elected from Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Division. He is an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Ranchi) and did his Masters also from the same Institute. He joined J&K Power Development Department as Assistant Engineer in the year 2011. In his service career with J&K PDD, he has been posted in different wings including Generation, Transmission, Sub-Transmission and Distribution. It is his maiden stint in the Committee of this Centre.
